Job Title: Menu Technician Location: Main Hospital - New Brunswick, One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Department: Dietary-Management Req #: 0000243341 Status: Hourly (Part-Time) Shift: Evening Pay Range: $18.26 - $21.75 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview The Menu Technician is responsible for taking patient meal orders from our patients and assisting patients with their menu selections. They also maintain patients' room service card files and perform other job-related tasks as needed. Communication with other hospital disciplines is necessary, and the candidate must have excellent customer service. Essential Functions Assist the department in all clerical functions for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selections. Maintain the Room Service computer system so that patient files are updated with appropriate dietary information according to physician orders. Demonstrate skills necessary to coordinate menu selections for pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Scheduling Requirements Shift options: 6am-2:30pm, 7am-11am, 7am-3:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, 3pm-7pm, 4pm-8:30pm. Every weekend/holiday rotation. Qualifications Required High School Graduate or equivalent. Two years of experience in a hospital Food Service Department. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
