Work Environment

The Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapist will work onsite at our specialized rehabilitation center. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of athletes presenting with acute and chronic sports-related injuries, integrating clinical assessments and patient feedback.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans aimed at enhancing recovery, optimizing performance, and preventing future injuries.
• Utilize advanced techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and sport-specific training regimens to support functional improvement.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one patient care sessions, focusing on each athlete's specific needs to ensure optimal recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with coaches, athletic trainers, and physicians to create and adjust rehabilitation programs suited to the individual athlete's circumstances.
• Employ sport-specific injury prevention tactics and develop effective return-to-play protocols to facilitate a safe transition back to training and competition.
• Monitor each patient's progress and adapt therapy plans based on ongoing assessments to ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Participate actively in mentorship programs, enhancing personal skills and professional growth through the guidance of highly qualified professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on athletic populations at various levels of competition. You will encounter a diverse demographic of patients, from amateur weekend warriors to highly trained competitive athletes. Your ability to understand and cater to the distinct demands and challenges faced by athletes will be crucial in facilitating their recovery and performance enhancement.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology as they pertain to sports rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective rapport with patients and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sports or orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with sports rehabilitation protocols.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques and functional training approaches, as well as involvement in developing return-to-sport programs.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of patient interactions and progress.

Compensation and Benefits
