Position reports to the Executive Director, Content Planning & Acquisitions providing critical support in deal negotiation, execution and management. It provides leadership for a specialized team in identifying and securing strategic programming deals. The job ensures financial prudence and alignment with the company's content strategy and objectives.Job DescriptionAdditional Job Summary/Highly Preferred Qualifications:10 years overall experience with a minimum specifically of 2+ years of experience in content acquisitions (AVOD, FAST, linear, basic cable, streaming) and/or experience in financial analysis, sales planning or research at a major media company.Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of key studio and content partners, including ownership and development of strategic partner relationships.Proven ability to provide strategic leadership and develop partner strategies that drive audience engagement, revenue growth, and broader business objectives.Strong ability to partner with and influence senior leadership, translating content, partner, and financial insights into strategic recommendations.Exceptional proficiency with MS ExcelExperience working with contracts/understanding of contractual languageThe ideal candidate is meticulous, organized, passionate about the entertainment industryMBA preferredPosition is office base in Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY or Irvine, CA- 4 days/week & 1 day remote. Responsibilities:Manage a roster of key partnerships, including evaluating external accounts through performance tracking and relationship cultivation in an effort to grow each account’s businessHigh-stakes negotiation and independent collaboration with business affairs around key partner contract efforts​, including financial analysis and forecasting, contract drafting, redlines, amendmentsDirecting the evaluation and acquisition of new content, aligning with strategic goals and subscriber growthStrategizing and recommending potential content acquisitions to enhance the media portfolioImplementing content specifications and overseeing adherence to programming standards and policiesLeading negotiations with producers and content providers, managing the end-to-end contract processOverseeing content acquisition budgets, ensuring fiscal discipline in collaboration with Finance teamsAnalyzing key performance metrics to inform the content acquisition and evaluation processGuiding a team in the identification and support of content deals, fostering professional growthUndertaking complex content rights negotiations, optimizing value and strategic positioning for the companyConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $118,571.09 USD - $219,576.09.Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
