Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and healthcare team to coordinate and implement tailored mental health treatment plans, ensuring seamless integration of services within and outside the facility.

• Conduct training for medical and security staff, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues to foster a supportive environment for all patients.
\n
• Respond promptly to mental health emergencies by intervening and de-escalating situations to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.

• Participate in commitment hearings as required, providing expert testimony as necessary to advocate for the mental health needs of patients.
\n
• Design and update individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.

• Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Engage in verification of patients’ mental health histories, including previous medication usage, to inform treatment strategies effectively.
\n
• Prepare comprehensive reports on patient progress and special cases as mandated, facilitating communication within the healthcare team and supporting quality assurance initiatives.

• Assist nursing and mental health staff in developing and managing post-release referrals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications\n
