Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

Cardiac/CVICU RN Adult Patients

Shift: Night (36 hours per week)

Requirements:

• RN with relevant acute care experience
• Preferred: 2 years cardiac ICU/CVICU experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Epic experience required
• Key clinical skills:
• IV start/maintenance
• Ventilator management
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for adult patients in the cardiovascular ICU setting.
• Monitor and manage high-acuity cardiac and cardiothoracic patients post-surgery.
• Administer medications and titrate cardiac drips as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations.

Compliance / Notes:

• Weekend expectation: Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holidays: Rotating holidays
• Orientation: 36 hours
• COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
• Compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start
• Fingerprinting: Required immediately after signing contract
