As Controller, you'll own the financial engine behind three distinct revenue lines and give the leadership team the clarity they need to make smart decisions and grow with confidence. Our client offers tremendous growth opportunity along with competitive compensation/benefits and hybrid environment.Job DescriptionFull-cycle accounting and month-end close across three revenue lines: recurring managed-services revenue, project-based professional services, and product resaleRecurring and deferred revenue mechanics - reconciling agreement billing between ConnectWise (PSA) and QuickBooks (GL), and keeping deferred revenue accurate for prepaid and annual agreementsBilling oversight across recurring agreements, projects, and product invoicing, including margin and COGS accuracy on resaleAP, AR, collections, and cash flow managementPayroll processing and reconciliationMulti-state tax compliance on two fronts: sales and use tax driven by product resale nexus, and payroll/employment tax obligations across the multiple states where our employees are basedFinancial controls, year-end close, and coordination with our outside CPAManage and develop a small finance/accounting teamBudgeting and forecasting; Budget-to-actual variance analysisScenario modeling and analysis to inform pricing, hiring, and agreement-renewal decisionsCash flow forecasting and runway planningKPI and financial-metrics ownership; building the reporting leadership uses to run the businessRequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, multi-state tax compliance, and reporting standards.Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceAnnual bonus401(k) with company match3 weeks PTO and 7 paid holidays
