Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Access Management in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel. Minimum Requirements: Access control and badge experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
