An established healthcare and senior living organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to support high-volume US and Canadian payroll operations across a large multi-state workforce. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong Workday expertise, deep knowledge of payroll compliance, and experience managing complex payroll processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 20,000+ employees across the US and Canada using Workday.
• Review payroll outputs to ensure accuracy for hourly and salaried employees, including adjustments and corrections where required.
• Support payroll funding activities including net pay, taxes, garnishments, and off-cycle payments.
• Analyze payroll reports, audit timekeeping and benefit deductions, and resolve discrepancies under strict deadlines.
• Assist with payroll tax compliance activities including W-2s, T4s, quarterly filings, and year-end reporting.
• Investigate payroll issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Accounting and HR teams on reconciliations, variance analysis, and payroll-related inquiries.
• Support payroll system updates, testing, implementations, and process improvement initiatives within Workday.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and provincial payroll regulations and labor laws.
• Provide payroll support and guidance to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with workers compensation claims administration and post-payment payroll activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of high-volume multi-state US payroll processing experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience required.
• Experience with Canadian payroll highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and payroll funding processes.
• Knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience supporting payroll process improvements and system-related projects preferred.
