Financial Analyst

Position Overview Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services Division is hiring a Business Financial Analyst/Estimator to support a rapidly growing portfolio of programs across the U.S. The position is responsible for developing, analyzing, and supporting cost estimates in proposals to our government and industry customers that are timely, compliant, and of the highest quality, utilizing various cost estimating techniques. The individual will support bid strategy and play a role in strategic proposal decisions for major and minor proposals supporting the Division and Corporate pursuits. The Cost Estimator will support business case assessments, customer negotiations, rate structure development, risk and opportunity management, supplier price analysis, proposal audits, and other activities pursuant to winning and executing. The individual will conduct market research, analyze historical data, and develop cost estimating models and factors to evaluate price reasonableness and develop negotiation positions. The Financial Analyst/Estimator will interface with all elements of the business organization to perform duties and will interact with external customers and stakeholders as required. Meticulous records will be kept in support of future activities. Responsibilities Support bid strategy and strategic proposal decisions. Support business case assessments and customer negotiations. Develop rate structures, manage risk and opportunity. Conduct market research and develop cost estimating models. Perform proposal audits and maintain meticulous records. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or STEM discipline with exposure to proposals, cost estimating, contracts, and/or pricing. Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles. Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment while managing multiple proposals with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Prior knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and estimating guidelines preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience and Deltek exposure also preferred. Drive for continuous improvement in personal skills and business processes. Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills. Strong, clear communication skills to influence decision making and stakeholder buy‑in. Strategic and analytical abilities to problem‑solve and develop creative solutions to proposal capture opportunities. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain DoD clearance.
