Pathologist's Assistant

Pathologist's Assistant position available. Daily shifts are 5 days per week for 8 hours each day. Candidates must have ASCP - PA certification. Experience in surgical pathology is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be able to assist and train residents in gross room techniques. Responsibilities include cutting and staining frozen sections. Candidates will provide macroscopic descriptions of gross anatomic features. Management and leadership experience is preferred. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates will perform gross examinations and dissections of large and complex specimens. Dissection of small biopsies is also required. Candidates are expected to prepare tissues for histological processing. Responsibilities include sectioning surgical pathology specimens. Specimen accessioning and management of specimen fixation is necessary. Candidates should be proficient in specimen receipt and labeling. Candidates must comply with all safety and clearance requirements. Travelers must shave for mask fit testing. No medical or religious exemptions will be accepted for safety protocols. All clinicians must not work as a traveler for more than 1 year without a break.
