Category: Junior / Young Contemporary Apparel Channels: Off-Price | Department Stores | Specialty Retail Key Accounts: TJX | Nordstrom | PacSun We are partnering with a hyper growth business looking to appoint an experienced Sales Director who will play a key role in building and scaling its wholesale business across the U.S. This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who combines strong retailer relationships with genuine merchandising and product instincts . Working closely with Design and Product Development, you will help shape commercially relevant assortments based on retailer needs, market trends, competitive intelligence, and identified whitespace opportunities. The brand already has significant e-commerce recognition and a distinctive position within the junior and young contemporary market. The opportunity is to take that foundation and develop a substantial wholesale business across off-price, department store, and specialty retail. Key Responsibilities Lead wholesale sales and account development across key U.S. retail channels. Own and grow the TJX business , managing buyer relationships, presentations, assortments, opportunities, and ongoing account strategy. Open and develop new business across department stores, specialty retailers, and other relevant distribution channels. Partner closely with Design and Product Development to build commercially relevant collections and account-specific assortments. Provide product direction based on retailer feedback, selling trends, competitive research, pricing, and market intelligence. Identify whitespace opportunities across silhouettes, washes, details, price points, and category extensions. Lead buyer appointments, market presentations, line reviews, negotiations, order placement, and account follow-up. Develop sales forecasts, account plans, pipeline visibility, and longer-term wholesale growth strategies. Support retailer-specific launches, activations, collaborations, digital campaigns, and other brand-building initiatives. Represent the brand at relevant trade shows, market events, and retailer-facing activations. Candidate Profile Proven wholesale apparel sales experience within junior and/or young contemporary women’s fashion . Established TJX relationships and direct experience managing the account are required . Denim experience is strongly preferred. Relationships with department stores and specialty retailers, particularly Nordstrom and PacSun , would be highly advantageous. Strong merchandising instincts with the ability to translate customer and market insight into actionable product direction. Experience partnering directly with Design and Product Development on assortment creation. Strong understanding of women’s fashion, competitive positioning, retail pricing, and account-specific product needs. Demonstrated success opening new accounts and growing existing wholesale businesses. Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment and building a business rather than simply maintaining one .
