Part Time As Needed - Patient Registration Customer Service Representative

Location: Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical Center Shift Hours: PRN – part time, work as needed. Open availability required for as needed shifts. As our Customer Service Representative , you’ll help patients check into the hospital. It’s fast‑paced on occasion, and you’ll be the reliable point of contact to answer registration questions and provide compassionate support, ensuring information is collected accurately and quickly. To thrive in this role, you need to be a confident multitasker, quick to learn technology, and able to type and answer calls. No previous healthcare experience is required; we’ll train you. You must be up‑to‑date on all vaccinations, pass a drug test, and pass a background check before hire. Preparedness to encounter illness and injuries is necessary. Responsibilities Work across multiple computer screens and answer phones to intake patient information in a busy environment. Provide compassionate support to patients, listening to concerns and easing anxiety. Collect patient and insurance details accurately while adapting to varied health plans and coverage information. Remain flexible in a fast‑paced setting; handle interruptions by clinicians while maintaining pace. Collaborate with a supportive team and work towards career development within R1 RCM Inc. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Excellent customer service experience Preferred Skills Medical experience For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.00 – $21.10 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and education or training.
