Litigation Attorney — Professional Liability (Tampa)

Boyd Richards Parker and Colonnelli, P.L. is a civil litigation firm with offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and New York, representing businesses, institutions, and individuals across a broad civil litigation docket. Our Tampa office seeks a litigation attorney with experience in the areas it handles: professional liability, condominium and homeowners' association disputes (excluding foreclosure), employment, architects and engineers claims, construction defect, real estate litigation, and legal malpractice. The ideal candidate has litigated in one or more of these areas, takes ownership of their cases, writes well, and thinks strategically. Why BRPC Associates carry their own caseload and get into court early — direct client and carrier contact, depositions, and motion practice from the outset, rather than years of document review A five-office firm across Florida and New York handling a sophisticated civil litigation docket Attorneys build careers here: nearly a third have five or more years with the firm, several fifteen years or longer Partners work directly alongside associates on complex matters, with a real path to advancement Responsibilities Manage cases independently from inception through resolution, including case strategy and day-to-day docket management Prepare pleadings, dispositive motions, and written discovery; take depositions; handle hearings and mediations Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel; prepare timely client reports and status updates Qualifications Juris Doctor; admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing (required) 3 to 15 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in one or more of the practice areas above Direct experience in at least one core Tampa practice area (professional liability; condominium/HOA; employment; architects and engineers; construction defect; or real estate litigation) Admission to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, a plus Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; familiarity with Aderant Expert Sierra, iTimekeep, and NetDocuments a plus Compensation & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience; medical, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plan; professional development support.
