The Opportunity: Impact & Strategy

As our Senior Payroll Manager , you won't just process checks—you will be the strategic architect of payroll operations for a dynamic workforce of 500+ employees . Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer , you will serve as the company's ultimate subject matter expert.

In this role, you will work in close, high-visibility partnership with HR, Finance, and Operations to audit practices, optimize our ADP Workforce Now platform, and safeguard labor compliance across a thriving multi-site business.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Lead Full-Cycle Payroll: Direct and optimize bi-weekly payroll operations for 500+ multi-state employees.
• Master Compliance & Audits: Oversee multi-state tax filings, reconciliations, year-end processing, and lead internal/external payroll audits.
• Protect the Bottom Line: Proactively review, audit, and process meal/rest period premium payments and labor compliance metrics to mitigate risk.
• Drive Business Intelligence: Generate, analyze, and deliver critical payroll and labor reports directly to senior leadership to guide corporate decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate deeply with Human Resources to seamlessly sync onboarding, terminations, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Proven Expertise: 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, with a track record of managing systems for 500+ employees.
• Platform Command: Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel is strictly required.
• Bilingual Skills: Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) to effectively support our diverse workforce.
• Regulatory Mastery: Deep, authoritative knowledge of multi-state wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll tax regulations, and labor compliance.
• Collaboration Mindset: A proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives alongside HR and Finance in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and unassisted.
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds and move safely within corporate or site environments (including confined spaces, uneven terrain, or climbing ladders if visiting locations).

• Department: Payroll Operations
• Classification: Exempt (Full-Time)
• Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
• Supervisory: No direct reports initially (Strategic Individual Contributor)
