Manager, Packaging/Labeling (2nd Shift)

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manager for Packaging/Labeling operations on the second shift at their Allentown, Pennsylvania facility. The role oversees clinical product packaging operations, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, quality metrics, and production targets while leading and mentoring a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical product packaging operations with focus on productivity, efficiency, and quality
• Ensure team training and adherence to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards
• Monitor production data and metrics to identify and resolve safety, quality, and productivity issues
• Manage labor, resources, and scheduling to meet production targets and client timelines
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using the company's Practical Process Improvement model

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years experience in regulated environment (clinical packaging, pharmaceutical, or devices)
• 3-5 years people management and leadership experience
• Thorough knowledge of packaging processes, SOPs, and cGMP requirements
• Understanding of quality systems, lean manufacturing, and operations management
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Financial acumen and project management knowledge
