We sell service and rent a wide-variety of equipment including large and small construction tractors, forklifts, and prime/stand-by-power generation.This position is located in Stockton, CA.Position Summary:Repairs and overhauls new and used earthmoving equipment and/or company owned equipment at customers' sites by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform diagnosis, and repairs on various types of construction machines: to include dozers, haul trucks, backhoes, skid steers, motor graders, scrapers, wheel loaders and various other machinery and attachments.Perform thorough machine inspections utilizing CAT inspections apps.Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machines utilizing manufacturer guidelines.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, engine and powertrain systems.Troubleshoot and repair technology systems including product link, pay load monitoring, VIMS and grade control on various machines.Use computer diagnostic tooling and manufacturer software systems when diagnosing and repairing equipment.Be able to read, trace, and apply electrical & hydraulic schematics to complex machine systems.Complete all electronic data entry and paperwork including service reports, time entry, warranty tickets and inspections.Be able to communicate direction of repair and make warranty recommendations.Be able to work individually or as part of a team, including coaching and mentoring technicians as needed.Promote a positive safety culture while following company safety policies and regulations.Stay current on all safety training/certifications including OSHA, MSHA, fork-lift, Smith DrivingOther duties as assigned.Driving will be requiredSkills:Ability to read and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral instructions.Ability to problem solve involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Education and/or Experience:High school or GED to three or more years related equipment experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have a valid class C driver license, prefer a class B license with a clean DMV report.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
