Diagnostic Imaging RN

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, ultrasound, and interventional radiology. The role requires strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills to ensure patient safety and comfort in a high-energy clinical environment. Candidates should have at least two years of diagnostic imaging and telemetry experience and hold current New York RN licensure. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including wearing hospital-issued scrub attire when required.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years' experience in Diagnostic Imaging nursing.
• Telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a diagnostic or procedural setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Special Considerations:

• Must wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops in procedural areas as part of infection prevention measures.
• Occasional weekend shifts required.
• Work environment includes exposure to diagnostic imaging equipment and procedural areas.

Scheduling:

• 40-hour workweek consisting of 8-hour shifts.
• Shifts include days and evenings.
• No night or holiday shifts required.
