The selected candidate will oversee comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care in general gynecology. Responsibilities include managing abnormal bleeding, including postmenopausal cases, treating sexually transmitted infections, providing contraceptive advice, evaluating early pregnancies, investigating infertility, addressing menopause symptoms, and managing urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. Procedures performed will encompass the removal of premalignant vulvar lesions, treatment of Bartholin cysts, repair of cystocele and rectocele, management of cervical dysplasia, and the insertion and removal of long-acting contraceptive devices such as IUDs and implants. Surgical operations will include diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage, diagnostic laparoscopy, salpingectomy for ectopic pregnancies or sterilization, oophorectomy, myomectomy, and hysterectomy.

The incumbent will evaluate and manage gynecology patients in the clinic and provide consultation services to general medicine physicians, mid-level providers, and surgeons in various settings, including the operating room, emergency room, and other inpatient services. Supervision of trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows, will also be part of the role. The incumbent will be required to provide on-call services as necessary according to the established schedule and will adhere to safety, environmental, and infection control protocols. Additionally, the incumbent will educate other healthcare team members on preventive medicine and relevant medical practices.

Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical activity statistics, participating in quality management studies as needed, and managing gynecologic services across inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings. The role involves overseeing gynecology processes, ensuring timely access to clinic and surgical services, and monitoring wait times. The incumbent will develop and implement policies and procedures specific to gynecology services when necessary, engage in quality improvement initiatives, direct QA activities for the Gynecology Section, and participate in educational conferences. Outreach efforts will also be supported to enhance the organization's philosophy and goals.

Benefits and Features

Expected Salary Range: Between $200K and $400K (negotiable based on qualifications, credentials, and experience).

• Work Schedule: Full-time, with hours determined by the supervisor.

• Pay: Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for CME.

• Contract: No physician employment contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
