Job Title:  Accounting Clerk/ Accounting Assistant

Pay rate:  $19.00/hr on W2 without benefits

Location:  77 S. High Street, 20th Floor Columbus OH 43215

Duration: 6+ Months (Possible Extension)

Schedule:  Monday-Friday/ 8-5pm/ Hours/Week: 35

Note:

• Will attend 4-6 weeks of paid training - Selected candidates must be able to travel to downtown Columbus, OH and/or Reynoldsburg, OH for training and work. Parking at Columbus location is not provided.

Responsibilities:

• Examines, reviews, verifies and processes claims.
• Collects background information for validity.
• Ensures compliance with Unclaimed Fund Laws.
• Corresponds with claimants and reporting agents.
• Analyses reports and forms submitted to claims.
• Processes complex claims with in-depth research.
• Primary contact person for incoming claimants.

Qualifications:

• Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting;
• 2 yrs. experience in accounting; - Must be recent experience
• Completion of undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics, computer science or related field with 16 semester hours or 24 quarter hours in accounting;
• Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.
