Now Hiring: Temporary Accountant / Bookkeeper

A local organization is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accountant / Bookkeeper for an anticipated six-month assignment , with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or early-career Accountant, Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or Accounting Assistant looking to gain valuable hands-on experience. Candidates with previous bookkeeping or accounting experience, an Associate degree in Accounting or a related field , or recent accounting graduates are encouraged to apply.

The Temporary Accountant / Bookkeeper will support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, account reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping .

Accountant / Bookkeeper Responsibilities

Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
Process invoices and maintain accurate accounting records.
Perform account reconciliations and review transactions for accuracy.
Maintain organized financial documentation and accounting records.
Assist with data entry and general bookkeeping duties.
Provide support for general accounting and administrative functions.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial systems.
Assist the accounting team with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, education, or related training .
Recent accounting graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Dependable and able to meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel .
Ability to learn new accounting processes and financial systems quickly.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
