Fund Accountant

This position offers an excellent hybrid opportunity to primarily assist the Operations team with a variety of accounting, administration, and operational matters. Key responsibilities include: Preparation and maintenance of internal performance reports and spreadsheets. Reconciliation of bank accounts and related activities. Timely preparation of ad hoc investor deliverables, including capital call and distribution notices. Preparation and maintenance of workbooks and schedules that track deal activity on private investments. Qualifications Education and Experience: 2 to 4 years of a mix of public accounting (auditing entities in the financial services industry) and private experience (ideally in the private equity space). Licensed CPA. Strong academic record. Experience with financial reporting and accounting issues impacting investment companies. Familiarity with financial products, including private and public fixed income/equity securities, real estate, and alternative assets (e.g., hedge and private equity funds). Strong understanding of GAAP; exposure to fund accounting concepts (capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, partner capital) is a plus. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Skills and Personal Attributes: Energetic. High integrity and dependability. Personable. High attention to detail. Responsibilities Assist with all accounting, administration, and financial reporting matters related to various investment funds, accounts, and other advisory relationships, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete preparation and maintenance of internal performance reports and spreadsheets. Support capital call and distribution calculations, including waterfall schedules. Track and record management fees, carried interest allocations, and partner capital accounts. Assist with the financial statement preparation process and annual audit for each relevant fund. Assist with the development and maintenance of internal spreadsheets to track deal-specific information and activity in connection with direct private equity and structured investment portfolios. Assist with the monthly and/or quarterly reconciliation of bank and brokerage accounts. Track investor relations requests (subscriptions, transfers) and related confidential investor information. Assist with periodic internal (investment team) and external (investor) reporting requests.
