Job Brief 1 Opening Pay Range: CLINICAL LAB SCIENTIST - $47.98 to $76.76 Job Summary Under the supervision of a Laboratory Supervisor, the Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting, clerical and patient care support services with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness while ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Licensure And Certification Current California CLS License Education BS/BA Experience 1-2 years previous experience preferred Knowledge And Skills CLS training in a USA program or if foreign trained, experience in a hospital-based laboratory located in the USA. Ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and professionally in English as well as follow verbal instructions with minimal supervision. Ability to work flexible shifts. Strong organizational skills. Critical thinking skills. Problem solving skills. Basic computer skills. Physical Demands – Clerical/Administrative Non-Patient Care Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change. Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level. Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level. Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing. Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
