Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/TeleWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise and demonstrate effective patient care in a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care for a diverse population, including patients with complex medical conditions.Monitor and interpret telemetry data, and manage the rapid response team.Administer IV insulin, blood products, and manage colostomy and feeding tubes.Handle pre/post hemodialysis management and perform phlebotomy and central line blood draws.Utilize isolation precautions and wound care principles, including wound vac management.Respond to medical emergencies and assist in non-invasive airway management, including CPAP/BiPAP and HFNC.Document patient assessments and care plans using electronic medical record systems (Epic).QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and adhere to IV protocols.Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.Experience with patient diagnoses, such as dementia, diabetes, COPD, sepsis, and others.Knowledge of telemonitoring and management of dysrhythmias is preferred.Work ConditionsTarget nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6.Shifts are 12 hours, with a requirement of 36 to 48 hours per week.Contract lengths range from 13 to 20 weeks, with flexibility in scheduling.Mandatory floating to different units may be required.Contract staff may be required to report to work during emergencies, such as storms or disasters.Orientation & TrainingInitial unit orientation of 24 hours is provided.Hospital orientation is required during the first week.Travelers must be available for daily classes during orientation.Uniform RequirementsUniforms required are navy and white scrubs.Client Details State NC
