Job Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Schedule

12 hr Days; 36 or 48 hours accepted. Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15).

Assignment Details

13-26 week contracts accepted. Contract staff may be assigned to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, and may be required to report to work during catastrophic events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Must accept 1st time travelers; locals accepted.
• Skills needed: MED/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Team, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care & management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, PCA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
• Certifications: BCLS required; PREFERRED: MS/Tele, Telemetry management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring on the unit, Accessing Ports, Insulin, CVA, Surgical drains, Interpretation of ABGs, Tracheostomy Management, EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor patient's condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Compliance / Notes

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. RTO is a maximum of 7 days; floating is required; weekend requirement is 12-16 hours per contract.
