Program Hours: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (hours may vary based on assigned location) Program Manager Compensation: $20.00–$23.00 per hour (based on education and experience) Responsibilities Organize program materials for lessons and activities; document attendance, incidents, and other observations. Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character‑building that expands school‑day learning. Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety and well‑being, support homework completion, lead fitness activities, and guide children at play. Maintain excellent communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel. Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability. Ensure safety and joy standards are met by keeping documents, licensing standards, attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures up to date. Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly, maintaining team cohesion and productivity. Support and report safety protocols, ensuring the well‑being of all participants. Qualifications Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills. Works well in a team environment. At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age. College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field preferred. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living. Ability to meet state‑specific requirements: CPR, mandated reporter training, TB test, etc. Minimum of 18 years of age. Proof of high‑school diploma or GED required. Virginia State Requirements First‑Aid and CPR (in‑person). Cleared tuberculosis test. Minimum age 21 years. Graduate degree in a child‑related field (e.g., elementary education, nursing, recreation) AND six months of programmatic experience; OR or bachelor’s degree in a child‑related field AND one year of programmatic experience; OR or forty‑eight semester hours (or 72 quarter hours) of college credit, with required child‑related credits and one year of programmatic experience; OR or two years of programmatic experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity, plus one year early childhood certificate (≥30 semester hours) or child‑development credential meeting specified criteria; OR or certification of qualification from an accredited Montessori organization.
