About the Role

Chalmers Ford is seeking a motivated results-driven Fleet Commercial Account Manager to develop new business opportunities and grow commercial vehicle sales throughout the local and surrounding markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys networking outside sales prospecting and building long-term business relationships. The ideal candidate is comfortable making in-person business visits identifying potential fleet customers and developing relationships with business owners contractors fleet managers and purchasing decision-makers.

Your primary focus will be generating new commercial accounts and positioning Chalmers Ford as a trusted one-stop resource for commercial vehicles vehicle upfitting and service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify prospect and develop new commercial vehicle sales opportunities.
  

• Conduct outside sales activities including door-to-door prospecting and in-person visits to local businesses contractors and commercial fleet operators.
  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners fleet managers purchasing managers and other key decision-makers.
  

• Promote Chalmers Fords commercial vehicle inventory fleet purchasing options vehicle upfitting and service capabilities.
  

• Research local businesses and identify opportunities to expand commercial fleet sales.
  

• Schedule appointments follow up with prospects and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  

• Collaborate with the Fleet Department to develop comprehensive vehicle and upfitting solutions tailored to customer needs.
  

• Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities customer interactions follow-ups and sales opportunities.
  

• Represent Chalmers Ford professionally while building relationships throughout the business community.
  

• Consistently pursue new accounts and develop long-term customer partnerships that drive business growth.
  

Qualifications

• Strong communication interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  

• A self-motivated goal-oriented approach to sales and business development.
  

• Willingness to travel locally to meet prospective customers and conduct in-person business visits.
  

• Confidence with cold calling door-to-door prospecting networking and follow-up.
  

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects and sales opportunities.
  

• Professional demeanor and the ability to build trust with business customers.
  

• Previous experience in outside sales B2B sales commercial vehicle sales fleet sales or business development is preferred.
  

• Automotive commercial truck fleet management or vehicle upfitting experience is a plus.
