Exciting contract opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers in a supportive school setting near Rhome, TX. These full-time positions are available immediately to provide coverage for maternity and sick leave. Start dates are flexible, and end dates will depend on internal hiring needs. Flexible, dedicated educators passionate about supporting diverse learners are encouraged to apply.
Multiple roles are open:
- Role A: Work with 3rd-5th graders (5 students) in a behavioral caseload setting at the intermediate level. Prior experience with these grades and behavioral students is essential; however, this is not a fully self-contained classroom, and the role does not require physical demands.
- Role B: Elementary life skills class supporting K-2nd graders (4 students). Experience with young life skills learners is required.
- Role C: Starting in November, this position focuses on high school life skills (5 students). Ideal for a teacher with both behavioral and life skills experience. Candidates able to cover both Role A and Role C are welcome—this assignment may continue through the end of the school year.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid credentials and eligibility to work as a Special Education Teacher in Texas.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with diverse behavioral and life skills student populations.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for various grade levels and student needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans.
- Provide tailored instruction in behavioral and/or life skills environments.
- Collaborate with related service providers, classroom teams, and families to ensure student success.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to an inclusive, supportive classroom community.
