Data Engineer / Data Modeler (ETL & Analytics Focus)Location: Minnetonka, MN (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 8–12 Months Note: Only local candidates will be considered Domain- Healthcare insuranceRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly versatile Data Engineer with strong Data Modeling and Analytics capabilities who can operate at the intersection of engineering and business insights. This role requires hands-on expertise in building robust ETL pipelines, designing scalable data models, and enabling data-driven decision-making in a healthcare insurance environment.Core ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop scalable data pipelines and optimized storage solutions for enterprise analyticsDesign and maintain source-to-target mappings ensuring accuracy and traceability across systemsBuild and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica (PowerCenter / IDMC)Develop complex SQL / PL-SQL logic for transformation, validation, and reportingEnsure data quality, governance, and security across the data lifecycleCollaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutionsMonitor and enhance performance of ETL jobs and database systemsSupport cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, Kafka preferred)Data & Analytics ResponsibilitiesPerform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and insightsDevelop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or ExcelAutomate workflows using Python or RSupport business intelligence initiatives and data storytellingDocument data flows, mappings, and governance standardsAI & Advanced Analytics (Preferred)Apply machine learning techniques for predictive analytics and automationBuild and deploy models using tools such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or Azure MLEnhance analytics capabilities with AI-driven insights and decision support systemsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in Data Engineering & ETL developmentHands-on expertise with Informatica PowerCenter / IDMCAdvanced proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQLSolid understanding of Data Modeling (dimensional & relational)Experience in data analysis and reportingDomain experience in Healthcare Insurance
