Velocity Wellness & Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our Grass Valley, California Rehabilitation Center. Working onsite in a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center, our team collaborates closely with physicians, support staff, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and functional screenings, to design personalized care plans.
• Implement treatment protocols incorporating evidence-based techniques tailored to individual patient needs, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians, ensuring the delivery of high standards of care while providing mentorship and guidance.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to achieve defined rehabilitation goals, and safely transition patients through various phases of recovery.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as exceeding best practices in patient care and safety protocols.
• Document patient treatment sessions, outcomes, and discharge planning in our electronic health records system to ensure continuity of care and effective communication across the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, such as joint replacements, sports injuries, and trauma-related conditions. Our patients range from young athletes to seniors, each presenting unique challenges and rehabilitation requirements. The therapist will be responsible for engaging with patients to motivate them through their recovery process, providing education and resources that empower their journey toward health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
• Proficient in operating various physical therapy equipment and able to perform basic functional evaluations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Experience with a variety of orthopedic conditions and proven ability in developing effective patient treatment protocols.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
