Job Summary:
The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit specialty position is located in Austin, Texas. This contract role involves working in a busy outpatient oncology setting with a focus on transplant and cellular therapy. The role requires providing patient care during infusion procedures, including chemotherapy and blood product transfusions, in a dynamic clinical environment.

• Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a shift duration of 10 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Target Start Date: 07/13/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, basic life support (BLS) certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant outpatient oncology or infusion setting
• Preferred Qualifications: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, certification as Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN/OCN), outpatient clinic experience
• Typical Procedures Performed: Infusions, chemotherapy, IVIG, blood product transfusions (PRBS, platelets, plasma)
• Patient Ratios: 6-8 patients per day
• Equipment: Infusion pumps, electronic medical record (EMR) system (Meditech)
• Personnel: 5 RNs, 1 PCT, 1 Scheduler, 1 Social Worker per shift
• Dress Code: Navy top and bottoms, scrubs specific to the unit
• Unit Environment: Team-oriented with a small staff fostering close relationships, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration
