Your qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar educational support capacity
- Understanding of classroom dynamics and a dedication to helping students of all abilities
- Effective communication skills with teachers, students, and families
- Reliability, patience, and adaptability in diverse school settings
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting lead teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and daily activities
- Providing one-on-one or small group instruction under teacher direction
- Supporting students with special needs or learning challenges to ensure engagement and progress
- Encouraging positive behaviors, social skills, and constructive participation among all students
- Offering help with class transitions, routines, and assignments
- Tracking and recording student progress as directed
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
