For more information, visit Responsibilities The Payroll and Benefits Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hunt Valley, MD. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll and Benefits Manager oversees benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, and serves as a key point of contact for employee questions about compensation and benefits. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining payroll records, reconciling benefits invoices, collaborating with HR and Finance on reporting and budgeting, and supporting audits. The manager also helps improve payroll and benefits processes, implements system enhancements, and contributes to policies that support a positive employee experience. Qualifications Strong payroll management skills, including multi-state payroll processing, compliance with wage and hour laws, and familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar). Experience with benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans, as well as open enrollment and vendor management. Proficiency in HR and finance-related tools, such as HRIS platforms, timekeeping systems, and Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Knowledge of relevant regulations, including FLSA, ACA, COBRA, and other federal and state employment and benefits laws. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting employees at all levels. Previous experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings is beneficial, particularly in a growing or multi-location organization.
