Human Resources Manager – Transdev (Baltimore, MD) Transdev in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Human Resources Manager. This position supports the management team with full‑cycle recruiting and all other HR-related responsibilities. It includes financial information regarding the project, including but not limited to human resources, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable. The role requires proficient use of HRIS, recruitment, and timekeeping information systems. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals dedicated to safety. Competitive Compensation Minimum $75,000 – maximum $90,000 Benefits Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Holidays: 11 days 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental and vision Life insurance Short‑term disability Voluntary long‑term disability Key Responsibilities Interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations for all employees. Maintain staffing levels: staffing plans, hiring campaigns, posting positions in Jobvite, screening candidates, hiring employees, conducting orientations, retention. Handle Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) interruption and adherence; assist in union contract negotiations. Maintain personnel files and routinely audit I‑9 documents. Manage FMLA and other leaves at the facility. Maintain contract files and records; prepare contract correspondence, manager reports, and schedules. Administer data, recruitment, personnel records and backup for payroll. Coordinate employee benefits at the contract level. Answer phone and redirect calls. Schedule appointments and meetings for management, prepare agendas, send faxes, e‑mail, and mail as required. Review and track disciplinary actions, leaves, etc. Provide training. Coordinate employee benefits. Maintain current information and literature regarding employee handbooks, recognition programs, employee files, and other HR files. Develop proactive employee relations strategies for union and non‑union personnel; promote positive, collaborative working relationships and open communication. Identify, recommend, and implement employee relations best practices. Provide advice, support, and communications to branch managers on employee relations matters, data and contingencies, dispute resolution, handbook interpretation, workforce discipline, labor code, human rights, and other statutory obligations. Maintain awareness of HR trends, practices, or legislation affecting employment programs, policies, or procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Five (5) or more years of relevant direct experience managing HR and labor relation aspects of a public transit service. Experience administering a collective agreement. Experience with recruitment and terminations. Experience with benefits and compensation. Experience administering employee files. Experience serving as a labor relations specialist responsible for education, training, and outreach to employees. Other relevant HR qualifications. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day). Frequently walk for long distances on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
