Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, NRP, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Charge experience required - Experience with patient ratios of 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity - Charting system experience Description: We are seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a fast-paced emergency department. The nurse will be required to work rotating night/evening shifts. Patients of all ages will be cared for, ranging from infants to geriatric patients. The nurse will encounter a diverse range of diagnoses, including complex cases. Floating within the specialty and sister facilities is expected as needed. Scheduling needs will dictate rotation, with a primary focus on night shifts at this time. Every other weekend is required. Holidays will be scheduled as needed. The nurse will provide care to patients with various conditions. Skills include the administration of emergency medications, management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation monitoring. The ideal candidate must communicate effectively and work well in a team-focused environment. All required certifications must be maintained throughout the assignment. The emergency department manages a significant volume of patient visits each day. Key responsibilities will include triage, patient assessment, and coordination of care. A thorough understanding of emergency protocols and procedures is essential. The nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
