Controller

We're looking for a Controller to own day-to-day accounting operations for Dukane Precast while supporting financial reporting and analysis across our family of affiliated companies. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on solving problems across multiple entities, understands the nuances of construction accounting, and can partner effectively with operations, sales, and executive leadership. You’ll report to the CFO and also work closely with the Dukane executive team and other cross-functional leaders across our operating companies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Owns month-end and year-end close processes that ensure accurate and timely financial statements Manages job costing projects, including percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP schedules, and margin analysis Supports consolidated and standalone P&L reporting across multiple related entities within the family of companies Partners cross-functionally with operations, project management, and estimating teams to ensure job cost data is accurate and actionable Reconciles intercompany transactions and balances across affiliated entities Maintains and strengthens internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Assists with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Supports external audit and tax preparation Identifies process improvement opportunities, particularly around systems, job costing, and reporting efficiency Knowledge, Skills and Abilities CPA, MBA strongly preferred, with 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience — candidates with a strong alternative mix of education and hands-on experience will also be considered Construction industry accounting experience preferred, including familiarity with job costing, WIP/percentage-of-completion methods, and project-level P&L management Experience supporting or consolidating financials across multiple entities or business units Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP/accounting systems Experience with Trimble Spectrum is a significant plus Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders (operations, project managers, estimators) High attention to detail balanced with the ability to see the bigger financial picture A proactive, get-it-done attitude suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial family-of-companies environment #J-18808-Ljbffr CONSTRUCTION FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
