FTR Analyst

We are hiring an FTR Analyst to join our collaborative trading platform, with a pathway to a trading role. Analysts support trading across multiple US power markets, with current hiring focused on MISO, SPP, and PJM . The FTR Analyst will build and manage models intended to analyze impact of generation projects, load developments and power flows in electric grids in order to predict electricity market prices and identify potential trading opportunities. Requirements: Experience with Optimal Power Flow (OPF) models or nodal market simulation tools (such as PowerWorld, Panorama, Dayzer, PROMOD, UPLAN, GridView, GE MAPS, PLEXOS, Aurora etc.) Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative discipline. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in electricity markets in a consulting, commercial, engineering role or experience at an ISO. Team-oriented and collaborative. Proficiency with programming tools & quantitative modeling analytics using Python and SQL or other analytical tools. Preferred: Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Physics or other quantitative discipline. Strong quantitative and analytics background, including advanced-level skillset in simulation, optimization, statistics, options pricing theory Proficiency with data science, machine learning and deep techniques such as regression & classification Experience with SQL, databases & warehouses such as Snowflake Exposure to industry data platforms such as YES Energy, Panorama, Mosaic Exposure to natural gas markets, physical or financial. Familiarity with unit testing, source control, code review Compensation: $180,000-200,000 base + discretionary bonus. #J-18808-Ljbffr L.Knighton
