Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift. Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday for night shift). Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2.

Highlights:

• Challenging cardiovascular ICU environment with complex patient population including post-CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO patients
• Work with advanced cardiac technologies including ventricular assist devices, IABP, Impella, hemodynamic monitoring/Swan Ganz catheters, and CRRT
• Epic electronic medical records system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more
• 36-hour orientation period to support your transition to the unit
• Float requirements limited to units of equivalent or lower acuity, rotating no more than once every 4 weeks

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery line management
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
