Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, sterilize and care for instruments and equipment, and provide support to the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CS T) from an accredited program or LVN/LPN license required. Certified ST may be required within 180 days of graduation.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required.
• Experience working in an operating room environment. Two or more years of OR or surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain aseptic technique, set up operating rooms using physician preference cards, and process/sterilize surgical instruments according to facility policy.
• Ability to transport and position patients for surgery and to identify and care for biological specimens.
• Willingness to float to other departments as needed.
• Willingness to participate in weekend call and on-call night shifts as required (1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per schedule; 1-2 call nights per week).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least three specialty areas such as transplants, open heart/cardiac, urology, neurology, robotics, or titanium rib procedures.
• Previous experience with CVOR or other high-acuity surgical specialties preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:30-17:00.
• Work schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
• Floating to other departments as needed.
• Weekend call requirement: 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per schedule.
• On-call requirement: 1-2 call nights per week.
