Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Attorney role based in White Plains, NY. The Construction Attorney will advise clients on construction and real estate matters, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation, project documentation, and risk management. Daily responsibilities include researching and analyzing statutes, regulations, and case law; preparing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; and representing clients in litigation, mediation, and arbitration. The role involves providing clear, strategic legal guidance to owners, contractors, subcontractors, and other industry stakeholders, as well as collaborating with colleagues to develop case strategies and support business development efforts. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law with a focus on construction and real estate matters, including familiarity with contract law and commercial litigation. Experience in Labor and Employment Law related to construction and real estate, including counseling on workplace compliance and disputes. Proficiency in delivering Legal Advice, including risk assessment, contract interpretation, and strategic guidance to diverse industry clients. Advanced Research skills, including the ability to analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and industry standards and apply findings to client matters. Effective Negotiation skills for handling contracts, settlements, and dispute resolutions in litigation, mediation, and arbitration settings. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in New York, or eligibility for admission. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, exercise sound judgment, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced firm environment.
