Our client, located in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Dental Patient Care Coordinator for an onsite, direct-hire opportunity. Hands-on experience with Dentrix is required for this position.

Dental Patient Care Coordinator Role

The Dental Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment.

This individual will manage scheduling, patient communications, insurance verification, and front office operations while helping ensure every patient receives outstanding service from check-in through treatment completion.

The ideal candidate is professional, customer-focused, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment. Strong Dentrix experience is essential, as this position will rely heavily on the Dentrix practice management system for daily scheduling, patient records, and front office functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Manage appointment scheduling and provider calendars using Dentrix
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within Dentrix
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Answer incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
• Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes
• Collect payments and assist with financial discussions as needed
• Support daily administrative and operational needs of the practice
• Work collaboratively with doctors and clinical team members
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience at every interaction

Dental Patient Care Coordinator Background Profile

• 2+ years of dental front office experience required
• Hands-on Dentrix experience is required
• Strong understanding of dental scheduling, patient records, and front office workflows
• Experience with insurance verification and patient coordination
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dental practice
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts and two Saturdays per month
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
