Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

POSITION SUMMARY THIS POSITION IS FOR OUR GRAND BLANC LOCATION We offer a competitive salary, retention bonus and benefits. The BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is primarily responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans based on these assessments. The BCBA ensures the effective implementation of all treatment plans and programming for clients as described by the responsibilities below. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis, and demonstrates sound professional judgment at all times Maintain BCBA continuing education credits as required by the BACB (32 credits every 2 years) Collaborates with other services (PT, OT, Speech) that clients receive Collaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of client behaviors Develops a treatment plan (including behavior support plan) based on the functions of the behavior and evidence-based treatment methodologies Attends all relevant meetings for clients, including treatment team meetings and IEP/ISP as needed Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team Attends insurance authorization review calls for their clients Collects data before and during implementation to assess plan efficacy and support data-based decisions Provides direct instruction, ongoing supervision, training and support to clients, staff and family members Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes modifications as necessary Initiates services with new clients in a timely manner upon information from the Lead Clinical Supervisor Manages, prepares and submits all required documentation on time (assessments, treatment plans/BSPs, insurance updates, session notes, monthly data analyses, plan updates, insurance calls, etc.) Communicates regularly with the Lead Clinical Supervisor Supervises and monitors progress of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) including practicum students Conducts ABA Technician Annual Evaluations & Goal Setting Responsible for submitting authorizations and requests for adjustments, assessments & treatments to insurance carriers for approval KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors and community members Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Commitment to client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Commitment to ongoing training and development related to clinical skills, ethics and technology Maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair and makeup BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age and functionality Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods Must be willing and able to hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan Manual dexterity to perform data collection on computer and electronic devices Must be physically present at assigned job location Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication Must have reliable transportation EXPERIENCE Experience in implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (preferred) EDUCATION Must have MA degree in a related field and BCBA certification (certification must be kept up to date) REPORTING STRUCTURE Immediate Supervisor: Clinical Director RELATED TRAINING Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed, including CPR, CPI/QBS, and other company trainings as directed by the organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
