Behavioral Health Therapist-PRN

Overview HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, IL is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Counselor to provide direct counseling and case coordination services to patients admitted to any behavioral services offering assistance for mental health or addiction problems. The focus of the work is to help patients regain and retain their highest level of recovery and alter lifestyles through counseling, education, crisis intervention, and related services. Position Details Department: Behavioral Health & Social Services Core Function: Behavioral Health/Social Work Schedule: PRN, Days Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital Location: Breese, IL Pay Range: $29.55 – $44.32 per hour, based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education Minimum Education: Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling Preferred Experience: 1 year in Behavioral Health Basic Life Support (BLS) required Preferred Certifications: Non‑violent Crisis Intervention Certification, Substance Use Certificate Licenses and Registrations Certain IL locations: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) required for outpatient & inpatient settings. Licensure must be obtained within 18 months of hire for inpatient work. WI locations: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required. Licensure must be obtained within 18 months of hire. APSW, LMFT‑IT, or LPC‑IT training will be considered. Applicants shall have 90 days to apply for licensure after completing state‑required supervised practice hours. Flexibility for exam testing dates is allowed when necessary.
