You support essential operations by carrying out transportation, maintenance, and safety tasks that keep the facility functioning smoothly. As an Equipment Operator A, you will perform the following duties:Vehicle Operation: Operate passenger cars, trucks, vans, buses, and invalid coaches to transport residents and materials to various destinationsSafety Checks: Complete inspections and verify locking devices and equipment are properly secured before each tripMaterial Transport: Make pickups and deliveries of mail, supplies, materials, drugs, and blood samples, both locally and long distanceMaintenance Work: Perform minor repairs, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and assist mechanics with major repairsFacility Support: Carry out department tasks such as loading vehicles, maintaining records, cleaning work areas, and completing paperworkTool Use: Use hand and power tools safely while following all agency safety rulesInterested in learning more? Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.Additional Requirement:You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
