Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of our human resources function from our Houston, TX office. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will provide hands-on support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and compliance. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is organized, discreet, and comfortable balancing a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage the recruitment process for assigned roles, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation in partnership with the HR Director Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees HR Administration & Records Maintain employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data, and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accurate documentation of important information Process employee status changes, including promotions and separations Support the administration of HR processes for international employees as directed by the HR Director Benefits & Payroll Administer benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, leaves of absence, and employee inquiries Assist with timekeeping review, and related tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for bi-weekly payroll Serve as a point of contact with benefits and payroll providers to resolve employee issues Employee Relations & Engagement Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs Support HR initiatives and programs, such as employee engagement surveys, performance evaluations, and training sessions Compliance & Reporting Assist with communicating HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook Prepare HR reports and metrics, such as headcount, turnover, and recruiting activity, for the HR Director Assist with special projects as assigned by the HR Director, including tracking deadlines and deliverables Conduct research and compile data as requested Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role Working knowledge of HR processes and employment law Experience with HRIS, benefits administration, and payroll systems Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks Why Should You Apply?
