Accounting Manager

Mosaic Human Capital Solutions is conducting a search for an experienced Accounting Manager on behalf of a San Antonio organization. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, building structure, and helping modernize financial operations within a stable and growing environment. The organization operates multiple locations across San Antonio and is seeking someone who can take ownership of the accounting function, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement stronger financial controls and reporting practices. Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, support budgeting and financial reporting activities, improve accounting processes, and serve as a key business partner to operational leadership. This individual must be comfortable working independently, driving accountability across multiple locations, and helping elevate the overall sophistication of the accounting function. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and overall back‑office processes Partner with operational leaders across multiple locations to ensure financial accuracy and accountability Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Review and maintain inventory and cost accounting processes Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting and tax requirements Identify gaps in current processes and proactively recommend improvements Support system optimization efforts, including evaluating current accounting platforms and future system enhancements Prepare reports and provide financial insight to executive leadership Coordinate with external partners including auditors, tax professionals, and vendors as needed Travel locally between San Antonio‑area locations as needed Qualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting required Prior experience supporting multi‑location operations preferred Strong supervisory and leadership skills, even in environments with limited direct reports Self‑starter who can work independently and identify areas needing attention without extensive direction Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems required Experience evaluating or implementing accounting systems strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred CPA or CMA is a plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $105,000 – $115,000 annually Paid vacation and sick leave Stable organization with positive cash flow and long‑term growth focus Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational and financial processes Work Environment 100% on‑site position in San Antonio Primary office located on the west side of San Antonio, with occasional travel to additional local sites Mosaic Human Capital Solutions is an equal‑opportunity employer.
