Revenue Accountant

Job Description: Job Title: Revenue Accountant Job Type: Contract Job Location: Milpitas, CA Work Schedule: On-site Pay Rate: $44, Based on experience Work on service revenue accounting close processes including executing certain revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, and revenue analysis or schedules. Actively support system and process implementation projects and perform testing to validate system design is appropriate. Support certain automation testing by leveraging AI models and other tools to validate the reasonableness of the system design. Prepare or review certain revenue controls for SOX compliance on a monthly or quarterly basis. Comply with internal controls as well as update process documentation when needed. Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and U.S. GAAP for responsible areas Must Have Skills: Looking for a Revenue Accountant Minimum 2 years’ experience in revenue recognition area (not a very junior level role) Hands on revenue recognition and understanding – MUST HAVE ASC 606 knowledge – MUST HAVE Big 4 experience – highly preferred Detail oriented, organized #1. Journal Entries, account reconciliation, rounding analysis #2. Very heavy project – new AI reports, system enhancement, some projects related to S/4HANA, testing and coordination #3. SOX compliance on a monthly or quarterly basis Contract review Any SAP or ERP system experience (preferably S/4HANA) Advanced MS Excel skills Must understand accounting standards, accounting systems, accounting flows, and overall accounting requirements quickly Reviewing reports Coordinating with other teams and other regions to make sure the SOX work is done effectively and in a timely manner 60% time on projects (projects: 1. Going to have a new service system; 2. System enhancements using AI tools - building new reports, reviewing contracts, comparing reports - review and reconciliation-based work 40% on day-to-day accounting support (Journal Entries, account reconciliation) Qualifications/Education Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minimum of one or two year of relevant experience. Accounting or big 4 experience is preferred but not required. Strong fundamental accounting knowledge and ASC 606 Detail oriented, organized, motivated and able to function in a fast-paced environment, especially during quarter-end reporting periods. Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of ownership. Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills with the ability to get things done. Previous experience with SAP or other comparable ERP is a plus.
