Laboratory/Pathologists Assistant/Pathology Technician

Job Accountabilities Receive, verify, and accession specimens according to department policies. Process specimens for testing, interpretation, and submission to other laboratories. Perform accurate data entry throughout testing and reporting processes. Maintain equipment and facilities; prepare and stock supplies and reagents. Conduct gross dissection and description of pathology specimens. Assist with intra-procedural consultations, including gross examinations and frozen sectioning. Perform all aspects of post-mortem examinations and ancillary processes. Manage pathology materials, including storage, retrieval, and disposal. Audit accessioning and coding, providing feedback for improvement. Troubleshoot problems and report findings to laboratory leadership. Participate in compliance efforts and validation of new testing methodologies. Complete quality control processes with appropriate documentation. Support the laboratory in other functions within the scope of regulation, training, and practice.
