The Parking Attendant assists customers, monitors parking operations, maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the facility, and helps ensure the location operates safely and efficiently.This position requires a customer-focused attitude, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and team members. The Parking Attendant reports directly to Parkwell’s Project Manager or designated site supervisor.ScheduleThis can be a full-time 40 hours a week or the schedule will be determined based on operational needs and is subject to change. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Position RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age.Successful completion of a criminal background check.Ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, team members, and management.Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during the scheduled shift.Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required by the location.Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, parking tickets, validations, or other forms of parking revenue when required.Ability to operate parking equipment and technology after appropriate training.Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.Customer and Client Service Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.Offer assistance to customers who appear to need help entering, exiting, paying for, or navigating the parking facility.Provide customers with accurate information regarding parking rates, hours of operation, payment procedures, facility rules, and directions.Assist customers with parking equipment, pay stations, access controls, tickets, validations, and other parking-related needs.Maintain clean, organized, and presentable work areas.Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, managers, and property personnel.Immediately report customer concerns, complaints, or service issues to management when appropriate.Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients, tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff.Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key property personnel, including property managers, engineers, janitorial staff, and security personnel.Accurately verify, collect, process, and record parking revenue when assigned.Follow established procedures for cash handling, revenue control, and shift reconciliation.Parking Operations Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor the parking facility and assist with maintaining an orderly flow of vehicles.Direct customers to available parking areas when necessary.Monitor parking areas for improperly parked or unauthorized vehicles and report issues according to established procedures.Assist with traffic control during periods of high vehicle volume, special events, or other operational needs.Monitor entrances, exits, gates, pay stations, access equipment, and other parking systems for proper operation.Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, lighting issues, signage problems, or facility damage to management.Assist customers experiencing issues with parking equipment or access systems.Maintain awareness of facility occupancy and communicate parking availability or operational concerns to management.Perform routine walkthroughs of assigned parking areas as directed.Ensure parking areas, booths, offices, and surrounding workspaces remain clean, organized, and presentable.Safety and Security Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollow all Parkwell safety policies, procedures, standards, and training.Maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the parking facility.Follow established procedures when directing traffic or assisting customers around moving vehicles.Identify and promptly report safety hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, accidents, or security concerns.Report all incidents immediately to a supervisor or manager and complete required incident documentation.Never place yourself, customers, or others in an unsafe situation when addressing parking or security concerns.Cooperate with property management, security personnel, emergency responders, and other authorized personnel when necessary.Maintain a high level of integrity when handling company or customer property, parking revenue, access credentials, and confidential information.Remain calm, professional, and organized during stressful or high-volume situations.Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Parking Attendant may be asked from time to time to perform other duties that are not specifically listed in this job description.
