We are seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. This position supports the doctor by performing a mix of clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate is punctual, diligent, and experienced.

Schedule:

Full-time: Monday - Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) & Friday (8:00 AM– 2:00 PM)

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

• Room patients and prepare them for examination in a primary care setting
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform point-of-care testing, including blood glucose checks
• Administer injections and immunizations as directed
• Perform EKGs
• Update patient histories, medications, and pharmacy information

Administrative Duties:

• Answer and triage incoming phone calls
• Verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments
• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant experience  required
• Previous experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care preferred (1-2 years)
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of routine primary care workflows and patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinic environment
• Experience with EMR systems preferred

Work Environment:

• Outpatient primary care clinic (family medicine/internal medicine)
• Fast-paced setting with a diverse patient population
