Our reputable laboratory practice is looking for a talented Pathologist to join our team on a locum basis. Required Skills

• Proven experience in anatomic and clinical pathology, including grossing and FNA/Rapid Interpretation
• Ability to handle a diverse case mix including surgical pathology, GI, breast, gyn, hematology (minimal), and limited neuro cases
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively with a team of pathologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, and assistants
• Strong organizational skills to manage approximately 200-250 slides daily and handle cases efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and consultation purposes
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and staining protocols

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with frozen sections and intraoperative consultation
• Prior experience in a high-volume lab setting
• Familiarity with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and special stains workflow
• Ability to manage multiple case types, including bone marrow and cytology, as needed

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD, DO) with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Valid medical license to practice in the designated state
• At least 2 years of post-residency experience in a clinical laboratory environment

Other Requirements

• Flexibility to work on a 3-day rotating schedule, including grossing, readouts, and cytology support
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties, with evening and early morning hours as specified
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
• Ability to handle high volume and case complexity in a fast-paced setting
